Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ITM2B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ITM2B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher ITM2B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ITM2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and SKCM are the cancer types where ITM2B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
