Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ITGA5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ITGA5 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher ITGA5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ITGA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, OV, and UCEC are the cancer types where ITGA5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
