Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ISCU RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ISCU data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher ISCU RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ISCU expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and CESC show a favorable association.

UCS, CESC, and UVM are the cancer types where ISCU RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
