Across TCGA patient cohorts, IRF9 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 5,598 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible IRF9-associated genes across cancer lineages are OAS2, IFIH1, and STAT1. Each is linked with IRF9 in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both IRF9-to-partner and partner-to-IRF9 results are reported.
