IPO8

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IPO8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IPO8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where IPO8 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IPO8 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, THCA, and CHOL are the cancer types where IPO8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
