Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, INPP4B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of INPP4B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where INPP4B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types INPP4B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where INPP4B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
