Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IL17A RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IL17A data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher IL17A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IL17A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and OV show a favorable association.

SKCM, ACC, and HNSC are the cancer types where IL17A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
