Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IL17A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IL17A data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher IL17A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IL17A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
COAD, LIHC, and ACC are the cancer types where IL17A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
