IL13

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IL13 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IL13’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where IL13 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IL13 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where IL13 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
