Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGLV9-49 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGLV9-49 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGLV9-49 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGLV9-49 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, SKCM, and LUAD are the cancer types where IGLV9-49 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
