Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV5-2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGKV5-2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher IGKV5-2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGKV5-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC and LUAD are the cancer types where IGKV5-2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
