Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV1D-8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGKV1D-8 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher IGKV1D-8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGKV1D-8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and GBM show a favorable association.

LUAD, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where IGKV1D-8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
