Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHVIII-5-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHVIII-5-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher IGHVIII-5-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHVIII-5-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ show a favorable association.

LUAD, GBM, and LAML are the cancer types where IGHVIII-5-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
