Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV6-1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGHV6-1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGHV6-1 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV6-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where IGHV6-1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
