Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV5-78 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHV5-78 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGHV5-78 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV5-78 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRP, and UVM are the cancer types where IGHV5-78 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
