Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV3-36 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHV3-36 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGHV3-36 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV3-36 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, UVM, and BLCA are the cancer types where IGHV3-36 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
