Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD4-17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHD4-17 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher IGHD4-17 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHD4-17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and LUAD show a favorable association.

UVM, ESCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where IGHD4-17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
