Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD3-16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHD3-16 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher IGHD3-16 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHD3-16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.

UCEC, LUAD, and STAD are the cancer types where IGHD3-16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
