Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD2-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHD2-2 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGHD2-2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHD2-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and BLCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, BLCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where IGHD2-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
