Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGF2BP3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGF2BP3 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher IGF2BP3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGF2BP3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SCLC, SARC, and UCEC are the cancer types where IGF2BP3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
