Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGF2BP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGF2BP1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher IGF2BP1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGF2BP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.
ESCA, LGG, and COAD are the cancer types where IGF2BP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
