Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IFNA6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IFNA6 data layer compared with 9 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IFNA6 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IFNA6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LSCC are the cancer types where IFNA6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
