Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IFI16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IFI16 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher IFI16 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IFI16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, UCS, and LUAD are the cancer types where IFI16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
