Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IDH1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IDH1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher IDH1 Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IDH1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and UCEC show a favorable association.
LGG, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where IDH1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.

Ranked by sampling consensus. AUC1 and AUC2 indicate survival in the high- and low-expression groups, respectively; the lower AUC marks the poorer-surviving group. p-values are from the log-rank test.
