Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HYKK Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HYKK data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher HYKK Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HYKK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where HYKK Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
