Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HYI Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HYI data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher HYI Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HYI expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where HYI Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
