Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HYDIN RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HYDIN data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher HYDIN RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HYDIN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and ACC show a favorable association.
KIRP, ACC, and STAD are the cancer types where HYDIN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
