Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSPA8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HSPA8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HSPA8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSPA8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where HSPA8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
