Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSP90AB1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HSP90AB1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher HSP90AB1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSP90AB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LSCC, and GBM are the cancer types where HSP90AB1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
