The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher HSD17B6 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSD17B6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
LSCC, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where HSD17B6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
