The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HSD17B12 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HSD17B12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where HSD17B12 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
