Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HS3ST5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HS3ST5 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher HS3ST5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HS3ST5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC, ESCA, and STAD are the cancer types where HS3ST5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
