Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HPD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HPD data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HPD Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HPD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, SARC, and GBM are the cancer types where HPD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
