Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HP1BP3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HP1BP3 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher HP1BP3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HP1BP3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD and UCEC are the cancer types where HP1BP3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
