Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HOXB9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HOXB9 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher HOXB9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HOXB9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC and PRAD are the cancer types where HOXB9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
