Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HNRNPL mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HNRNPL data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HNRNPL mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HNRNPL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where HNRNPL mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
