Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HNRNPA1P53 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HNRNPA1P53’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where HNRNPA1P53 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HNRNPA1P53 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL, BRCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where HNRNPA1P53 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
