Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HMOX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HMOX2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher HMOX2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HMOX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ACC, BRCA, and SARC are the cancer types where HMOX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
