Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HMOX2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HMOX2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher HMOX2 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HMOX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and PDAC show a favorable association.

COAD, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where HMOX2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
