Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HMGB1P17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HMGB1P17 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher HMGB1P17 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HMGB1P17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and SKCM show a favorable association.

STAD, SKCM, and CESC are the cancer types where HMGB1P17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
