Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HLA-F-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HLA-F-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher HLA-F-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HLA-F-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and SKCM show a favorable association.

LUSC, COAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where HLA-F-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
