Across TCGA patient cohorts, HLA-DMA mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,274 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible HLA-DMA-associated genes across cancer lineages are MAD2L1, DEPDC4, and SAAL1. Each is linked with HLA-DMA in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both HLA-DMA-to-partner and partner-to-HLA-DMA results are reported.
