Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIGD1AP10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HIGD1AP10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where HIGD1AP10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HIGD1AP10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, READ, and KIRC are the cancer types where HIGD1AP10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
