Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIGD1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HIGD1A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher HIGD1A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HIGD1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD, BRCA, and PRAD are the cancer types where HIGD1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
