Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIF3A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HIF3A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HIF3A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HIF3A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, READ, and CESC are the cancer types where HIF3A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
