Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HIBCH Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HIBCH data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher HIBCH Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HIBCH expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ESCA, COAD, and DLBC are the cancer types where HIBCH Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
