Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HGFAC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HGFAC data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher HGFAC Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HGFAC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KICH, GBM, and LIHC are the cancer types where HGFAC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
