Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HESX1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HESX1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher HESX1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HESX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRC, KICH, and LGG are the cancer types where HESX1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
