Across TCGA patient cohorts, HEPHL1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,101 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible HEPHL1-associated genes across cancer lineages are SCML2, JADE3, and ARMCX3. Each is linked with HEPHL1 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both HEPHL1-to-partner and partner-to-HEPHL1 results are reported.
