Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HELQ Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HELQ data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher HELQ Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HELQ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where HELQ Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
